The mars lander lasted a lot longer than originally thought and his/her team did a great job tweeting updates to all of the landers followers, a total of 38,359, but at 16.15 EST he was no longer communicating with Earth. In other words if it were alive... well hed would be dead now. I think the whole idea of tweeting was such a great idea but now I will sincerely miss it. Here is a video montage from the JPL site.
