Over 800 members of the First Nation community located near James Bay were evacuated after E. coli bacteria was discovered in their water supply system.

North of Toronto, just outside of Port Perry, ON, Lake Scugog had a mysterious and very troubling increase in the number of fish dying in the lake.  The town, province, and the federal government did nothing so it was left to the residents themselves to clean up the mess.

One afternoon a family of geese accidentally crossed the road, that road was highway 401, North America's busiest stretch of pavement.  Local animal control officers went above and beyond to rescue and re-unite a family.
